Episode 5: Kelly Osbourne

Styrofoam Cup Lamp:
Good lighting brightens dullest rooms but it's hard to imagine making your own personalized lamps. Don't you fret, Todd Oldham has come up with an easy idea that you too can do at home. Shadows beware because this Styrofoam Cup Lamp is going to turn your scary darkness into a vivid romper room.

 Step 1:
Cut out the bottom of a styrofoam cup.

 Step 2:
Apply glue around the top rim of the cup.

 Step 3:
Attach 3"x3" pieces of tissue paper over the top of the cup.

 Step 4:
Trim off the excess paper from around the cup rim. Repeat these first four steps until you have about fifty cups.

 Step 5:
Start attaching the paper cups together with paper clips to make a huge circular bulb.

 Step 6:
Cut three pieces of wire. Feed one end of the wire into the paper clip and twist it around the end of the clip, so it stays secure. Do this three times with different pieces of wire.

 Step 7:
Attach the wired paper clip to three cups around the edge of the lamp to create a triangle in the middle of the lamp to support the fixture.

 Step 8:
Put the lightbulb socket inside the styrofoam cup lamp.

 After:
This is what your finished lamp will look like.
