The Bar:
It must be a great feeling to step up to a bar and know that it's your bar. Home bars were pretty big in the swingin' seventies and, for the players, they’re just as big today. Whether you’re a bachelor or bachelorette, this project will serve up something special for your home.
Step 1:
Lay down plexiglass (three-quarter-inch thick). Wipe with paper towel.
Step 2:
Get a sheet of privacy-frosted film. Remove Backing of the frosted film.
Step 6:
Constructing the base: Make the legs with pipe. Make an H shape out of the pipes. Slide all thread into the pipes. Attach the plexiglass to the legs.
Step 8:
Fix the three-quarter-inch plywood in a U shape and attach with finishing washers.
Step 9:
Hold up the bar legs & put washers on the all thread. Slide the plexiglass on top of the all thread. Peel back the film cover and apply the nuts.
Step 10:
Tighten the nuts & saw off the excess all thread sticking out to the plexiglass.
Step 11:
Attach L brackets with three-quarter-inch screws to the U shaped wooden frame. Lift the wooden frame and slide it into place on the bar legs. Connect with screws. Sand the edges and stain the wood.
