Just wait and see what we do with this board.

Step 1:
Cut enough batting to cover the plywood. Lay batting down and place plywood on top. Pulling batting tight, staple the edges to the board. At the corners, pull the batting to one side and then fold over (like you would do corners when wrapping a present) and staple.

Step 2:
Cut enough fabric to cover the headboard plus a couple of inches on each side and lay it face down. Place the board on top of it (with the batting facing the fabric) and pull the fabric tight enough to remove wrinkles but not too tight. If your fabric has patterns, make sure it's straight. Staple the fabric edges to the bottom of the board as you did with the batting.

Step 3:
Set the headboard in place, with the bottom resting on the floor and the back of the headboard flush to the wall. Secure the headboard to your wall with screws.

Step 4:
Place your mattress in front and take a snooze.
