How come MTV did not show the controversy video "Straight Out Of Compton" of the rap group N.W.A? I was sure that it would come out on the top 5.

The worst video was the one with the guy ripping his flesh off. That should have been closer to the number one spot.

What about the videos from Ministry-Just one fix. Or Danzig videos, Slipknot, Bad Religion, Type O Negative Just to name a few off the top of my head. As for the Videos picked they were controversial in there time, but its a new time and era. I think some more videos should have been researched than just the obvious like Madonna twice and Slim Shady who both had 2 videos each on the list.

hey....i thought that the "Me So Horny", "Baby Got Back", and "Hit Me Baby" weren't controversial videos....half of the vided's you showed were funny....not discriminating or freaky...i think there should have been more rap videos in this, but that's just me....thanks for listening....Amanda B. What ever happen to the Smashing Pumpkins video Try, Try, Try? I heard that it was banned from airplay in the U.S. because of scenes of drug use and violence? How come it didn't make the countdown?

I want The music video 19\2000 by Gorillaz

Why isn't the Cardigans "My Favorite Game" on this countdown. Y'all wouldn't air the original version, plus y'all showed an edited version which cut out the part where Nina died and the part where she weighed the pedal down with the rock. How is this not on the list, but Britney Spears is?! What the f**k?!? Some of the videos are truly controversial, but I mean, britney spears, come on, I expect more out of y'all than that. Plus, Warrant shouldn't be questionable for objectifying women, they should be questionable for sucking so hard, and having more money for doing it.

I can't really complain too much, I got to see MTV play Smack My Bitch
Up on regular TV, a feat within itself.

I think that the twentieth most controversial video was not worth being on the countdown. That video was hardly cutting edge, it had no points to prove. There are many other videos that deserved that spot. "My name is" by Eminem would have been a better pick, it has drugs, sex, and a mock presidential scandal, and in my opinion, that is way better than some naughty school girl.

what about rabbit in your headlights- UNCLE - or the aphex twin videos by chris cunningham - talk about watering down a subject - this is just
lame!

Thank you!

That sums it up just fine. Finally you have gone against those bastard conservative censors and dared to show what the artist meant to convey. I only wish that you could play all of the videos in your library without having to put it through the editing grinder. It's the one thing that I never understood. If all these clowns out there don't want to watch an unedited video, TURN THE DAMN CHANNEL! Censorship sucks, always will, and will never reflect my point of view. MTV, you are on the road to redemption after years of being the slaves of the censors. Keep it up!
