All I have to say is screw the Iann and Suchin special. Although I think Andrew W.K. is a huge idiot, his version of the presentation was absolutely stunning.

I think MTV crossing these boundaries was one of the best things you could possibly do. Showing these artistically stunning videos was definetly the right thing to do.
Most of the videos, such as Metallica's "Turn the Page", Madonna's "What it Feels Like For a Girl", and Prodigy's "Smack My Bitch Up", just do not have the same impact with parts blanked out, or cut.
MTV, keep pushing the envelope. Keeps crossing lines, pushing boundaries. Keep making a difference and really let us have a freedom of expression. In airing these videos in their complete state, you have just started to do what your channels should do, anyway.

Keep up the good work, and don't stop here!

Dear MTV folks... FINALLY!!!!! somthing I'd like to see on TV for FREE. Music of this group is great... the visual is even better.... surrealistic ,yet relatable to those who's been there... "expodenzously kwel"... wana thank and say congratz to u folks.
Like to take this oppotunity to express (along with many im sure) my wish that there'd be more of such visually bold exploration in MTVs of various issues and themes in music which would enable us to release via relating (audio sensations) the friggin repression society has bombarded us with.... I dont mean that we should be irresponsible, but freedom to produce progressive art thru music and MTVs and freedom to see it should be given to those of age... hopefully by that ... meaning of some maturity as well :P

I look foward to seeing more of such videos produce and aired on MTV, would be exciting to see new grounds broken on my fav TV channel. perhaps u could start with George Micheals lastest MTV *wink wink*

yurs truly

To Those Who Have the Balls to read this &/or show "us" otherwise...

I have no problem with free speech or freedom of choice but my question to all the bands making controversial video's is.... In this day of equality, where is the male nudity?
Is it that they/men are not comfortable with the sharing of themselves & only in the degradation of females &/or their nudity? Do they not think there are females watching videos & that we deserve the same freedom of choice, to see male nudity/bodies as intimately as they show the females? Or do they think that females do not consider the male body art or beautiful or that the male form does not deserve the same revealing air time? Can they/men, not handle the comparison or scrutiny by female viewers as they/men watch such video's in mixed company? Or is it just that only females have nude bodies or that only women are naked when they have sex or showers or that only women are comfortable with flaunting, showing or revealing themselves? Or perhaps there's just no good looking, attractive male bodies out there but then again that (good looking &/or attractive) doesn't seem to be a prerequisite for female nudity! Tisk, tisk, we females shake our collective heads in shame over the males embarrassment, shame, insecurity & ego over themselves!

Not a dumb, blind bitch,
C.R.
