Eminem

I think that the music video for "stan" is terrible. I mean I love Eminem, but the song could have done without the video. I think that that video shows boys that it is allright to abuse a woman and it shows a girl that it's ok to let a man abuse a woman. I wouldn't see it as a loss to trass that video. It is totally un called for. Thank you MTV for your support.

Dear Mtv,
I didn't get to see all the videos of controversial videos cuz I couldn't catch it the 2nd time. Anyway I picked to b*tch about the Eminem videos, so here it goes! I'm a big fan of Eminem. And I know Eminem is really controversial, but I think some ppl take it too far. Some ppl just wanna b*tch about something. And sometimes they turn to the media. If ppl have a real problem about watching that video just turn it to another channel for sometime, cuz someppl actually do like this kind of music. Usually ppl vote for Stan as their favorite song from Eminem. I have a lot of respect for Eminem and his lyrics, opnions and thoughts. If he wants to express his feelings like that then he can. Atleast he isn't going around and killing ppl. He can sing about whatever he likes. Not only is Eminem is controversial, but lots of other rappers are too. I'm not saying that every rapper is controversial and has to be,but Eminem is not the only one to be. So I just don't understand why these ppl have to go B*tch about him and not some other guy. For the D12-Purple Pills I thought that video was very funny. Ya, I know it's talking about drugs, but once I listen to it I don't go and eat a bunch of pills. So I think ppl should just chill out and sit back and listen or watch something else. Cuz you know what? Some ppl actually do love these videos! And I'm one of them.

I'm a HUGE Eminem fan and I don't think that there was anything wrong with the video "Stan" at all. I think it was a brilliant song and a kick-ass video. I respect Eminem as an artist and I love everything he does. I think what he said in an interview with Jurt Loder was exactly on the dot: People are looking for something to bitch about. I think people need to lay off him. The song "Stan" represents how Eminem feels about his fans, and how "harassed" he is by his fans. I know he appreciates his fans, yet at the same time, he can't even walk to the corner store to buy a sode or whatever because he'll get hassled. I thought "Stan" was quite a work of art. I would do ANYTHING in the world to meet Eminem. I think he's amazing, and I can truly say I'm his biggest fan.

In his comments regarding Eminem's music video "Stan", Iann Robinson was very quick to label the line "that type of sh*t'll make me not want us to meet each other" as homophobic. Now, I am a firm believer in equality for homosexuals, and I am always angered by anti-gay opinions, but I fail to see how that line expresses homophobic attitudes. If I were a famous rapper, and a fan kept telling me that we were "meant to be together," I wouldn't want to meet that fan, regardless of the fan's gender. The line in Eminem's song is not anti-gay; it is anti-stalker. Homophobia is not an issue here, and by claiming that it is, Iann Robinson does more harm than good. Robinson should stop automatically referencing the rumors of pop culture and instead think for himself.
