So what's next for this music genre that stubbornly refuses to go away? Pop is expanding its horizons and going global by incorporating a wide range of influences and sounds, from Enrique Iglesias to Christina Aguilera. It's also continuing to take cues from music closer to home, as artists such as Sisqo, Macy Gray and Pink mix R&B, hip-hop and rap with traditional pop. And the youngest pop acts--from Dream to Lil' Bow Wow to 3LW--will continue to shape the future of pop. There's no limit to how the genre will evolve over the years, but one thing's for sure: These days, pop is clearly on top; and as long as there are teens around, pop is here to stay.
