Aubrey Plaza has said that she would "die" to play Catwoman on the big screen, and in Matt Spicer's biting satire Ingrid Goes West the actress finally gets a chance to dig her claws into the iconic DC villainess.
In this scene from the film, exclusively on MTV News, Plaza's unhinged antiheroine Ingrid makes a deal. She agrees to read the role of Catwoman during her charming neighbor Dan's table read for his Batman script in exchange for his truck. "Scratch my back, I'll scratch yours," Dan (played by the charismatic O'Shea Jackson Jr.) purrs.
Initially, Ingrid isn't into the idea of hanging out with a bunch of nerds, but for the sake of her budding friendship with Elizabeth Olsen's Instagram influencer Taylor Sloane, she agrees. She's got a date in Joshua Tree she desperately can't miss.
Ingrid revisits Catwoman for a purrrfect striptease later in the movie, in which she and Dan truly inhabit the roles of Selina Kyle and Bruce Wayne.
Ingrid Goes West is playing in select theaters in New York and Los Angeles now.
