Will Smith Really Wants To Play Batman, And He Has The Perfect Bat-Voice To Do It

'If they need me in the suit, I'm in it.'

We're not saying Will Smith wants to take the Dark Knight's cape away from Ben Affleck, but we're also not not saying that.

When MTV's Josh Horowitz caught up with this year's Generation Award winner backstage at the MTV Movie Awards, Smith revealed that he wouldn't mind stepping into the Batmobile to give newly minted Dark Knight Ben Affleck a reprieve from the action. You may be wondering how that would fit canonically with Suicide Squad, given that Smith is playing sharp-shooter Deadshot in the DC Extended Universe -- but Smith assures us that it all works out.

"There was one of the comics where Bruce Wayne got injured, and I think Deadshot came in and he had to throw on the Batsuit," Smith said. "So I'm just saying, if they were going to draw from that, I wouldn't reject it."

For what it's worth, Smith already has the perfect Batman voice. "If they need me in the suit," he said, "I'm in it."
