Although his initial goal was to raise $20,000, he was encouraged to expand his idea and the results have been phenomenal -- in just 6 days, Qazi's LaunchGood project, Muslims United for San Bernardino, has raised almost $120,000.
A Turkish man, Dr. Bilgin Çiftçi, is on trial for sharing a meme comparing the country's president to Gollum, a character from The Lord Of The Rings. If he's found guilty of insulting the president, Çiftçi could face up to two years in prison.
