One Direction are heading to "Sesame Street" and they know what makes the letter "U" so great. The British boy band will appear on the long-running children's program next season and Directioners are getting an early look at their ode to the 21st letter in the alphabet.

The fivesome have re-worked their hit "What Makes You Beautiful" to pay homage to "U." "26 letters are in the alphabet, but we're here to sing about you," Harry declares in the track. They also list off words that start with the letter, a puppet version of which appears with the guys in the sketch.

According to a report, 1D aren't the only A-listers set to make appearances on the educational program for the 2014-2015 season. Tina Fey, Janelle Monae and Macklemore have also been tapped to stop by "Sesame Street" to hang with Big Bird and the crew.

This year is shaping up to be another big one for 1D. They will kick off their Where We Are stadium world tour later this spring. The trek kicks off on April 25 in Colombia. The guys will hit the states this summer. Their first U.S. date will be on August 4 in East Rutherford, New Jersey. They have dates Stateside through October.

Ahead of the kickoff in a few months, 1D's Niall Horan is currently recovering from knee surgery. The singer hurt his knee while touring back in December.
