Park City, UtahKristen Stewart ended her break from the spotlight at this year's Sundance Film Festival with the premiere of "Camp X-Ray," where she plays a young, conflicted guard at Guantanamo Bay.

In the time that Stewart has been away from interviews and red carpet events, her fans have encountered a few questions that they were dying to have answered.

First, there was talk that Stewart had gotten a new puppy, a report she gladly confirmed with MTV News during our sit-down with the "Camp X-Ray" cast and director. The movie actually played quite a significant role in the adoption.

"I have a pup, yeah. I actually got on her on 'Camp X-Ray' and named her my character name, which is so embarrassing. But it's so cute. Young Cole," Stewart said. "She's a mutt. We found her on a frisbee golf course, and she was small and scared."

What Stewart didn't care to elaborate on were the new tattoos that some fans had spotted in recent photos of the actress. While she did confirm that the tattoos are both real and new, Stewart wouldn't explain why she had gotten them, what they are of or why she picked them. It seems that she intends to keep at least some mystery in her personal life.

"That's my game plan," she said.

Stewart was, however, happy to talk about her "Camp X-Ray" character — the one that shares a name with her dog — and how she was originally unsure if people would buy her as a soldier.

"I was so nervous when I first started working and preparing because I didn't think that people would believe me or think that I looked tough in a uniform," she said, "that I could do that job, that I could wrangle detainees that are massive and scary."
