Eve is headed down the aisle.
The Ruff Ryders rapper confirmed her engagement to longtime beau Maximillion Cooper on Twitter on Tuesday (December 31), writing,
"thanku 2 everybody 4 your congratulations on our engagement! 😊💍 We wanted to celebrate with our family and friends 1st b4 announcing."
Her rep tells E! News that Cooper popped the question on Christmas day while they celebrated the holiday in Edinburgh. Eve's sparkly new rock made its debut on Instagram in a photo alongside her mother and brother, prompting speculation about her engagement to swirl among fans.
Cooper, a British designer, is perhaps best known for creating Gumball 3000, an international motor rally in which exotic cars are driven around the world via public streets. The brand also includes a lifestyle blog and online clothing shop. For her part, Eve — born Eve Jeffers — is a Grammy award winner who has appeared on the big screen in "Barbershop" (for which she earned an MTV Movie Awards nom) and "xXx," and on the small screen on UPN's sitcom "Eve." Back in 2009, Eve had a two-episode guest arc on "Glee" as the coach of a rival show choir.
E! also notes that the marriage will be Eve's first, while Cooper has four children from a previous marriage. The couple has been splitting their time between the U.S. and U.K. in recent years.
Eve's 2001 collaboration with Gwen Stefani, "Let Me Blow Ya Mind," earned her a Grammy award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, as well as an MTV Video Music Award for Best Female Video. Earlier this year, Eve earned a Best Female Hip-Hop Artist nomination at the BET Awards.
