In an exclusive look at one of the bonus features from the release, which hits DVD and Blu-Ray on Tuesday, Payne heads back to his childhood home. He reveals he lived there right up until he headed off to compete on "X Factor" in 2010 and quickly found fame and fortune with 1D. "It's so weird coming in here now," he shares while walking around his former pad.
Fans also get to see his childhood bedroom, which is now just filled with random stuff as well as the very same bunny curtains he grew up with. "These are the curtains I used to wake up to every single morning. I was like 16 years old and I had bunny rabbit curtains. I used to actually think more about things like winning the lottery. And you just think, 'What would you do like with that sort of money?' "
"All I used to probably think about was 'I'd probably paint my bedroom and lose the bunny rabbit curtains'."
In a previously released clip from the movie, Liam's groupmates reveal in the Morgan Spurlock-directed doc what role Liam plays in the group. "That's why he got the name Daddy Directioner," Louis explained of the serious-minded Payne, who is filmed trying to keep the guys under control. But Zayn revealed in the footage that the boys have "corrupted" him since those "X Factor" days.
In addition to dropping the DVD this week, 1D want fans to gather to watch the film together during the global viewing party, taking place on December 20. Fans can celebrate the film's home release with the hashtag #1DMovieParty.
