After wowing the world with her performance on the American Music Awards on Sunday, Ariana Grande spent the rest of the night collecting props from her friends, family and fans, as well as the New Artist of the Year award.

"Saw a clip of @ArianaGrande singing on the AMA's. That's how it's done ladies and gentlemen," wrote Kelly Clarkson.

The singer, 20, channeled Motown soul for her performance
of her Yours Truly track "Tattooed Heart," which was preceded by a short a cappella take on "The Way." The impressive vocal display earned her a standing ovation from Lady Gaga and hearty applause from Ciara.

After proving they had "The Way"
on her single from earlier this year, Grande also got a head's up from duet partner Mac Miller. "Holy sh--. Congratulations @ArianaGrande everybody loves you," he wrote.

Late night host Carson Daly was feeling it as well, saying, "Kudos @ArianaGrande Way to be classy and show the #AMAs what you got. You sounded and looked great. Very refreshing."

And maybe he's a bit biased, but manager Scooter Braun couldn't have been prouder. "Congrats to @ArianaGrande for an incredible performance and winning new artist of the year at the #AMAs!!!" he added. "Proud of u!"

Fans from all over the globe agreed, including Gustavo from Mexico, who thought Grande deserved to be named the intergalactic newbie. "Ariana's News Artist of the year of all the universe!" he decided.
