After discovering his Olympus-sized roots in "Percy Jackson & the Lightning Thief," Logan Lerman's packing his bags once again for Camp Half-Blood in the series' latest installment "Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters," as the first trailer debuts exclusively on MTV News.

With demigods and all manner of mythological creatures sharing a universe, trouble's bound to arise, and this time around, it's in the form of Chronos, "a force so evil three of his sons — Zeus, Hades and Poseidon — destroyed him," the trailer tells us. "He's fated to rise again to exact his vengeance on Olympus and the world."

Enter the "finest hero" and "the best of us" to save the day ... Clarisse ("The Hunger Games" actress Leven Rambin). The only thing that can rescue Camp Half-Blood is the Golden Fleece, which must be fetched from the Sea of Monsters (known to humans as the Bermuda Triangle). But, not surprisingly, Percy refuses to be left behind, and with the help of Annabeth (Alexandra Daddario), Grover (Brandon T. Jackson) and Tyson (Douglas Smith), he goes on an epic quest to retrieve the magical item. An epic quest that includes morphing taxi cabs, prismatic creatures and finned monsters that may or may not be sharks.

"Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters" is based on the second book of author Rick Riordan's best-selling, five-part "Percy Jackson & the Olympians" series.

Directed by Thor Freudenthal and co-starring Stanley Tucci, Nathan Fillion and Jake Abel, "Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters" opens August 16.
