For the past few years, much has been made of James Franco and his many pursuits, both academically and professionally. While we read about them on the front pages of gossip sites, but it's rare to hear from someone who has actually known Franco for years.
His "Oz the Great and Powerful" co-star Mila Kunis was able to share some of her experiences working with Franco, whom she has known for seven years, and none of the multitasking is anything new to her. "I think we've done eight films together," she said. "I'm used to this." The duo most recently starred as a romantic couple in the 2010 Steve Carell and Tina Fey comedy "Date Night."
Even as MTV spoke with Kunis during a press day for "Oz," Franco had brought along two film students to observe him. Kunis joked that what many have referred to Franco's "drive" might be closer to "sadism." "I don't know James otherwise," she said. "He's one of the most driven human beings on the planet, and I think if he had to stand still, he wouldn't know what do to with himself."
Kunis explained that Franco's busy life stems from the way he views the world and what he sees as art. "He loves to share and experience and explore, and everything he looks at as art," Kunis said. "From that felt on the floor he thinks is an art piece to that poster — everything is art to him."
"Oz the Great and Powerful" opens Friday.
