A new trailer for Sam Raimi's journey back to the magical world of Oz just premiered over on iTunes, and while it may start exactly the same way as the first trailer from San Diego Comic-Con, the latest preview packs in so much more.

Also, Zach Braff appears as a flying monkey.

But we're getting ahead of ourselves. "Oz: the Great and Powerful" tells the story of a man named Oscar Diggs, played by James Franco, who is neither great nor powerful. As a small-time magician in Kansas (and in black-and-white), Oz wants something more, to be a "great man." A poorly timed trip via hot-air balloon causes Oscar to get swept up in a tornado, which as we all know, is the most popular way to travel to the Land of Oz.

In the magical world, Oscar encounters three witches, all of whom appear suspiciously not-green at the beginning of all of this and one of whom, Theodora (Mila Kunis), takes a liking to Oscar. According to the witches, there is a prophecy about a great man who will come to Oz to defeat the Wicked Witch, whose arm makes the same notable cameo.

This new second trailer takes a more in-depth look at the bigger story, instead of just setting up the premise. Oscar needs to convince everyone that he can be the wizard that they need him to be. We're also introduced to the many supporting characters, including the Zach Braff-voice flying monkey named Finley, and China Girl, a porcelain doll.

Check out everything we've got on "Oz: the Great and Powerful," in theaters March 8, 2013.
