The Jersey Shore has been the home to many a shenanigan captured by MTV cameras for the show that bears its name. Since Hurricane Sandy swept through, leaving much of the area devastated, residents of the ocean-side resort towns in the area have been struggling to get back on their feet.

MTV is helping raise awareness and funds for those affected by the storm via "Restore the Shore," a live benefit event with nonprofit organization Architecture for Humanity that airs this Thursday, November 15, at 11 p.m. ET.

And, the cast of "Jersey Shore" are asking for you to help out. "If you've watched 'Jersey Shore,' you've seen Seaside Heights in action," Pauly D says, with pal Ronnie adding, "The residents, the workers, everyone right now is struggling to get back on their feet because of the devastation of Hurricane Sandy.

"A lot of people that have been down to the Jersey Shore have lots and lots of memories," Ronnie continued. "For workers and residents of Seaside Heights, memories is all they have right now."

Deena and the rest of the gang are helping to get the word out to let fans of the show, and the Shore, know there's a way to help. "The residents need your help," she said.

"Let's rebuild the Shore together and help out," Vinny said.

"We're going to restore the Shore, and you're gonna help us," Snooki said.

"Please, please do whatever you can to restore the heart of the Jersey Shore," Sammi added.
