With the entertainment world still reeling from the news that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have split, Bieber called into a radio show just hours after it became headline news on Saturday.
"I don't know what to say," he said in an interview with Open House Party on Saturday, neither confirming nor denying the news. "I don't know what's going on in my life.. To even assess that it doesn't make sense 'cause I have not made any comment."
It's the closest either party has come to opening up about the rumored split since it was confirmed, via sources. The source shared that the couple had split about a week ago, with the insider adding, ""It was getting harder and harder to maintain a relationship."
On Saturday night, Bieber took the stage in Boston on his Believe Tour and after he played the show he took to Twitter to rather generally thank his fans for their support. He wrote, "thank u Boston. focused on the positive. #30MillionBeliebers with me. Im never leaving u because u r always there 4 me. love u. Night." Later on, as messages of support began to stream in, he added, "U guys r funny. #ilovemybeliebers"
As for Gomez, her tweets haven't even come close to addressing the rumored split, instead she's focused on work, sharing that she wrapped up work on the "Wizards of Waverly Place" reunion special and that she's in New York.
Rumors that the couple had split began circulating over the past few weeks, when Bieber was spotted at a performance of "The Lion King" with a group that included 19-year-old Victoria's Secret model Barbara Palvin.
