We are just hours away from the final trailer for "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2," which will debut during the Video Music Awards tonight at 8 p.m. ET/PT and immediately after on MTV.com. In preparation for the preview, we've been taking a look back at the trailers that got us to this point, and for our final installment, we revisit the beginning of the end.

When word came down that "Breaking Dawn," the final book of Stephenie Meyer's series, would be broken up into two films, there was concern that the two-part saga would be a little front heavy. All of the book's most-talked-about moments occurred in the first half and would likely show up in the first movie.

With so many water cooler moments in "Breaking Dawn," what would be in the trailer? Would Bella's wedding dress make an appearance? Would there be a tease of Bella and Edward's first night together on their honeymoon? What about the gruesome birth scene?

A short teaser for "Part 1," which debuted the summer before the film's November release date during the MTV Movie Awards, focused on the wedding with a tease of Bella's pregnancy at the end.

Then, on September 13, the final trailer for "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" went online and gave us a fuller preview of what we could expect from the first part of the finale. The preview teased all of the juiciest moments from the book in addition to giving us a sense of the larger conflict.

Again, the trailer opens with scenes from the wedding everyone had been waiting for. We saw the decorations and Edward at the altar, but Bella's gown would have to wait until the final film.

The focus then shifts to the honeymoon and the night of passion that was sure to delight fans.

But as we know, when a vampire and a mortal love each other very, very much, babies happen, and sometimes those babies possess superhuman strength. The second half of the "Breaking Dawn - Part 1" trailer dealt with the Renesmee situation. The fetus was drawing all of the nutrients away from Bella, who began to slowly die at the hands of her unborn child.

The trailer closes with a glimpse of the traumatic birth scene, which promised to be one of the most controversial moments in the series to date.
