Three of the Fierce Five have arrived.

Gabby Douglas, McKayla Maroney and Kyla Ross — three of the five members of the gold-medal-winning U.S. women's gymnastics team — arrived at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards press conference Tuesday (September 4) excited and ready for the show to start Thursday night.

The trio shared some big news during the conference, with Douglas revealing that Lil Wayne will be performing on the VMAs stage and Ross announcing that Katy Perry will be handing out Best Pop Video. The Lil Wayne news was appropriate for Douglas to announce because it turns out that the 16-year-old gymnast is a lifelong fan of the "How to Love" rapper.

MTV News caught up with Douglas, Maroney and Ross after the press conference and asked them which of the artists attending the VMAs they are most excited to see.

"For me it would definitely be Lil Wayne because I've always listened to him and he puts together these amazing lyrics and he's just awesome," Douglas said. She went on to say that Weezy is the performer she'd most like to introduce during the VMAs, which air Thursday at 8 p.m. ET/PT. With two days until showtime, we'll see if we can make that magic happen.

Maroney and Ross both seem to prefer pop to rap, as the two artists they're most looking forward to meeting are One Direction and Miley Cyrus.

"For me, probably Miley Cyrus. I'm very excited to meet her. I've been watching her on TV since I was very little and I love her music, and I'm just super-excited to get to even meet her," Maroney said.

Ross added, "I definitely want to meet One Direction. I've been listening to their music for a while, so it will be very exciting to hopefully meet them."

So who would be their dream artist to announce at the VMAs? At the end of the day, Maroney and Ross agreed they are tried-and-true Beliebers.

"I'd probably like to present to Justin Bieber," Maroney said, leading Douglas and Ross to burst out laughing. "Let's be honest."
