It's that time of year again when we put away the flip-flops and shorts and break out the boots and sweaters. Yes, it's almost fall. And that of course means it's back to school, but for all those young fashionistas out there, it's time for back-to-school shopping.

Fall shopping can be a bit of a daunting task, since there are so many hard questions to ask. What are the latest trends? What will show off my individual style? Am I wearing it right? To help us answer all those questions, MTV News has enlisted YouTube sensations and fraternal twin sisters Megan and Liz Mace to help us shop for some of the trendiest fall looks at New York City's Top Shop.

"Back to school for me, we always had a dress code," Liz said. "I mean, it's fall too, so we would always go for sweaters. [It's] time for sweaters, tights and boots. That's what I look for."

With color blocking, wild prints, statement collars and over-the-knee boots topping fall fashion trends, it's sometimes difficult to stock your closet with every style, but according to Megan and Liz, you should always have an outfit that fits your personal look.

"If it's tight, I don't want to wear it," Liz said. "I'm all about comfort these days, so like a nice baggy cute T-shirt and black jeans."

Megan added, "I would say black jeans definitely or even ripped jeans, ripped or black jeans, with either a long comfy sweater or just something that's loose or comfortable on top but still has an element of style."

The 19-year-old twins, who graduated high school in 2011, have found that not only have their styles evolved since then, but they've actually gotten more alike.

"It's weird — as we've gotten older, our styles have kind of gotten the same," Megan said. "Our styles are similar but she's more grunge and I'm more sparkly."

The two, who revealed that they often raid each other's closets, described themselves as "nerds" in high school and picked senior homecoming as their favorite memory. Their most exciting time in high school had to be the moment they decided music was their passion and began posting videos online.

"We were just so bored one summer, the summer before we could drive, so it was like that or watch the same movie again," Megan said. "So we opted for the videos."

Liz added, "And then we kept doing it all through high school and came to a point where we were like, 'Let's do this for real.' "

And they certainly have. The girls, who are known for their clever songs and homemade videos covering artists ranging from Taylor Swift to Maroon Five, have managed in just five short years to gain more than 745,000 subscribers and 174 million video views on their YouTube page. But now they are looking to move from being Internet sensations to mainstream artists. Their new single, "Bad for Me," is currently #58 on the iTunes chart, and they will be performing at the iHeart Radio Music Festival next month in Las Vegas.
