Logo has announced the nominees for the fifth annual NewNowNext Awards, and up-and-coming stars like "Hunger Games" actor Josh Hutcherson and Elizabeth Olsen are getting some recognition at the show, which honors "who and what are on the verge of pop culture explosion."
At the April 9 show, Jessie J will face off against indie rockers du jour Fun., the Donald Glover-fronted Childish Gambino, pop singer Neon Hitch, rapper Azealia Banks and British songstress Rebecca Ferguson in the Brink-of-Fame: Music Artist category, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Meanwhile, Hutcherson is up for Next Mega Star along with "New Girl" actress Lizzy Caplan, "Parenthood" actor Michael B. Jordan, "Silent House" actress Elizabeth Olsen and "Revenge" star Emily VanCamp. VanCamp's addictively soapy show will go up against "Absolutely Fabulous Revival," Pinterest.com and Seamless.com in the Best New Indulgence category.
"Magic Mike," "Moonrise Kingdom," "Prometheus," "Snow White and the Huntsman," "Ted" and "The Avengers" are among the Next Must-See Movie nominees. On the small screen, "Game of Thrones," "GCB," "Homeland," "Portlandia," "Savage U" and "Shameless" are all up for TV You Betta Watch. And, just because, there's even a Cause You're Hot category. "Magic Mike" star Channing Tatum, Superman himself Henry Cavill, "American Horror Story" star Jessica Lange, "Glee" star Naya Rivera, tennis player Novak Djokovic and actress Paula Patton are all nominees.
Adam Lambert will be performing at the show, the singer announced earlier this month in an interview with Vh1. The show will tape on April 5 at the Avalon in Hollywood and will air on April 9 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Logo.
