CANNES, France — Whether you're working a red carpet, going to a star-studded after-party or even just walking the streets, everyone here at the 64th annual Cannes Film Festival has to be prepared to look their best.
That was evident at the euphoria Calvin Klein Women in Independent Film event, where the fashion was fierce along the French Riviera. "Sucker Punch" star
"Walking around here people check you up and down a little bit more than they do in the States," Hudgens said. "But it's just an incredible place to be, so you have to step up your game."
Rosario Dawson, who traveled to Cannes with Hudgens, hit the red carpet as well, wearing a floor-length Calvin Klein gown, keeping it simple but elegant.
"It's one of the few places in the world where you are a model at all times," Dawson said of the fashion expectations at Cannes. "You're always on your A-game; it's a whole 'nother experience. It's the most anxiety-riddled experience, but it's good — it's really fun and so many wonderful people."
Actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who wore a Max Mara strapless green Grecian-style gown, confessed that it's not the red-carpet looks that are the hardest to plan but what she wears during the day.
"I plan day outfits, and that's very rare for me. I'm usually a sweatpant easy girl," Sigler said. "Cannes is such a glamorous city in general, there is just fantastic fashion all around."
