Russell Brand and
Brand, who married pop star (and season-opening "SNL" performer) Katy Perry last year, is making the rounds to promote two upcoming films: "Hop," due April 1, and a remake of 1981's "Arthur" alongside Helen Mirren, which hits theaters April 8.
In between Brand's skits, Chris Brown will likely perform songs from his upcoming F.A.M.E. album, which drops March 22. There's no word yet whether Brown will participate in any skits or digital shorts.
"Saturday Night Live" has rounded up some star-studded guests in recent months. Just last week, the late-night show scored big ratings with their headline-making Jessie Eisenberg and Nicki Minaj episode. Minaj participated in the "Creep" digital short with Andy Samberg and his Lonely Island cohorts and also played the Bride of Blackenstein in a blaxploitation spoof.
The latest show — which also saw the first meeting between Eisenberg and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg — averaged a 3.2 rating with adults 18-49 in 25 markets, earning the show its second-highest ratings of the season.
