Hollywood is experiencing a baby boom. Stars like Jewel, Owen Wilson and Marion Cotillard have all announced in the last few days that they're expecting bundles of joy. And now comes news that Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom have welcomed their child into the world.

According to multiple reports, Kerr gave birth to a son last Friday, although a confirmation has not yet been released from either the model or the actor. But a source close to the model confirms to MTV News that she did in fact give birth.
News of the birth first popped up online on Friday when X17 reported that Bloom was overheard talking about his new son. The Herald Sun in Kerr's native Australia reports that a family friend says that the baby weighed 10 pounds and that both mother and child are doing "very well." The baby was reportedly born in the States with Kerr's parents, as well as Bloom, by Kerr's side during the birth.
Speaking to the Morning Herald in the past, Kerr admitted that she was looking forward to expanding her family. "I've always been open about wanting to be a mother one day, and I've always thought Orlando would be a great dad," she said. "I think having children and pregnancy is a part of life. I look at how models like Heidi Klum, Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio have done it and made it a part of their lives."
Bloom and Kerr got engaged in June 2010 and were married a month later. In November, a very pregnant Kerr appeared nude in W magazine, where she expressed her desire to keep some privacy when it comes to her family plans.
"For me, family is life. The decision to start one wasn't complex at all. ... We're keeping [the sex of the baby] a surprise," she said. "My career has been wonderful, but it's not my life. I don't feel pressure to get back to work. My goal involves a hammock, a vegetable patch and a solar-powered house. And I hope to eventually get there."
