The train is finally leaving the station.
Now, the hip-hop mogul is readying the video for "Loving You No More" featuring
"The concept of the song is about when you love somebody so much that you forget about yourself," Diddy told MTV News when we visited him on location. "You love them more than you love yourself.
"[The video] is really about me being in a relationship with a young lady and you're constantly loving this person," he continued. "And hoping that this day comes where they change and they love you back."
Green described the visual as framing Diddy in a detached relationship. "We show these moments of him and his love but you could tell there's an emotional distance," the director explained.
Earlier this month, the multiplatinum music producer admitted to being rattled with nerves over the release of the long-delayed Dirty Money project. Diddy said the focus of this project — a love story that has the Bad Boy Records CEO crooning for the first time — has taken fans longer to embrace. Now, however, as interest has increased, Diddy said he's ready to take listeners on another trip.
"There's definitely nerves," Diddy told NME magazine. "It's nerve-wracking because there's more singing for me. You have a new concept, and it took people a while to buy into it.
"I think a lot of times people forget how many hits I've had," he later added. "I take pride in having hit records that still play in clubs now. I take people on a musical journey, and when we bring that up to date it just gets even more intense."
