Actor Jay Hernandez didn't get a chance to appear in too many scenes with the "bad guys" of the film
Hernandez says he had a ball working with Dillon, the O.G. of the ensemble cast, which also includes as the gang of Takers: T.I., Idris Elba, Paul Walker, Hayden Christensen, Chris Brown and Michael Ealy.
"It was great," Hernandez said of Dillon. "I grew up watching the guy. I've seen him in, I don't even know how many films he's done in his career. But he turned out to be a great guy. You never know. I've worked with people when it's not all like that. People can have volatile situations sometimes. But he was great. The whole cast, I thought, was amazing. Once I saw the film — I screened it — I loved it. I think its gonna do really well."
In one high-octane scene, Hernandez and Dillon have an elaborate foot chase with Chris Brown. As Brown fleas, the coppers pursue him through the streets of Los Angeles.
"Keeping up with him!" Jay said was the toughest part of filming the scene. "[Chris] is like 19. He's running all over the place. It's days of running and running and running. Getting in one direction. Getting in another direction. It's constant. It's a little taxing."
"I've never had to do so much running in my life," Dillon told MTV News about the scene. "For that sequence, we were just, like, four days straight, just running through the streets, and this kid Chris is an unbelievable athlete. This guy Chris Brown, he's unbelievable, man. So keeping up with him was a challenge even in itself, which was perfect for our characters."
