Though technical difficulties delayed his start, they proved to be no match for Drake, as the Toronto lyricist powered through a raucous version of "Over" at the 2010 MuchMuch Awards in his hometown on Sunday night.

When Miley Cyrus introduced the hip-hop star alongside hockey player Jonathan Toews, she flubbed more than a few words and said there were problems with her cue card as she eventually tossed to Drake's performance. And then Drizzy himself experienced a few snags prior to beginning his set. Viewers at home saw the audience of teen girls screaming for a few awkward minutes as Drake stood on the stage in the middle of a closed-off street and waited for the problem to be fixed.

The show's staff appeared unprepared to handle the delay. Fortunately, the production picked back up quickly after a commercial break. And when Drake finally performed, the hometown hero delivered like Kobe Bryant in the clutch.

"I know way too many people here right now/ That I didn't know last year/ Who the f--- are y'all," Drake began "Over" at last. "I swear it feels like the last few nights/ We been everywhere, babe/ But I just can't remember it all."

In addition to taking the stage, Drake also scored two awards, winning Hip-Hop Video of the Year and Cinematography of the Year for "Successful" (featuring Trey Songz), which, incidentally was shot in Toronto.

Fellow Canadian Justin Bieber, who walked the red carpet with Drake, bested the rapper in the hardware department as the teen star's "Baby," featuring Ludacris, earned UR FAVE Video, UR FAVE Artist, and International Video of the Year by a Canadian.

Miley Cyrus took home the International Video of the Year for her "Party in the U.S.A." clip, and the Jonas Brothers scored the same award in the group category for their "Paranoid."

Cyrus, Bieber and Katy Perry also rocked the stage, with Perry delivering an oozing rendition of her "California Gurls," where she pranced around in a cropped red sequin top and matching blue booty shorts.

Adam Lambert, Hedley and Billy Talent were also among the night's big winners; each scored multiple nods.
