While falling in love on the set of might be one of the reasons Miley Cyrus enjoyed filming "The Last Song," out Friday, she admits that getting out of Los Angeles and heading to Tybee Island, Georgia, didn't hurt either. In fact, she said making this flick, written especially for her by Nicholas Sparks, ranks as the best career experience she's had thus far.
"I had a blast! Not only the cast, but the crew too — that's one of the most important things: to enjoy the people you are working with," she told MTV News. "This is definitely ranked the highest. I loved it and was so lucky to work with the people I did. If I could go back, I would love to."
While she loved filming the movie as a whole, what were her favorite scenes to shoot? "Anything on the beach. That was awesome," she said. "That was the best day to go to work, anything on the beach or the pier scene."
Cyrus said it was especially fun to play Ronnie because of how much she had in common with the character. "It was mostly the music," she said. "I love animals, so they added sea turtles. I was happy to be there. Just a lot of different things that you could see me in rather than a Hannah Montana. You know, [I put] a little more Miley into Ronnie."
Miley also loved swimming with sharks for the flick. "At first, I was like, 'Oh gosh!' " she recalled. "I was really dreading that day. But I'd do it again. It was really fun."
