John Mayer went overboard during his now-infamous Playboy interview that surfaced online earlier this week. But it's worth noting the rocker is a habitual oversharer; mostly while talking to journalists, but he has a penchant for TMI tweets as well. Some of his choice messages have included updates on his farts, for instance.
Mayer's messages on Twitter are usually cheeky, without veering into the offensive territory his Playboy interview did. But tweeting, "BREAKING CELEBRITY NEWS: I was sitting with my legs crossed for too long and my penis fell asleep," is just too much.
But the "Daughters" singer isn't alone. Here, MTV News gathered five TMI tweeters and the posts that should have stayed confidential. Warning, the squeamish and easily offended should stop reading now.
Erykah Badu and Jay Electronica
This musical pair gave fans more medical details than an episode of "ER" and "Grey's Anatomy" combined when they live-tweeted while Badu gave birth to their daughter. "I see the head, full of hair," Jay tweeted with exclamation points. And after the delivery, which caused a slight break in Badu's updates, the neo-soul singer chimed in: "I can't believe it's over. Home birth, no painkillers, about five hours, she was a little past due date, but I didn't mind waiting. Breath."
Khloé Kardashian
If you've ever watched "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," you could easily see this being a scene on the show: "Kourt just admitted that she tasted her own breast milk," Khloé tweeted about her sister, adding unnecessarily, "Ummmm TMI."
Miley Cyrus
The Disney star is long gone from the Twitterverse, but before going away the former tweet-addict gave her followers the creeps with a few of her messages, like this one: "Good morning everyone," Cyrus typed. "Life is good. I am lying in bed with my mommy right now scratching her bug bites."
Diddy
The hip-hop mogul is an active Twitter member and his famous mantra, "Can't stop, won't stop," apparently applies to tweeting. "Having tantric sex!!!! I feel so much better!!! Thank you," he wrote while possibly in the middle of something.
Jessica Simpson
Like her former beau Mayer, this singer has a habit of keeping it too real. During a family dinner, Simpson shared the effect some home cooking had on her tummy: "I have indigestion!" Simpson wrote. "I'm praying that my last 'thank you' on my list will be for a calm stomach! God, I love Texan family cooking though! Burp."
