It seems like these days, everywhere you go, a Twi-Hard is bound to be there. So when
"I love doing the fan stuff," he told Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show Wednesday. "It's the best. You get to meet the fans, do the signings ... it's very surreal. We live in this 'Twilight Zone' bubble, in a way. It really hasn't set in. I try and get away. I don't change my life or anything like that, but I try and go away and treat myself, and I went to Burke Williams [male spa]."
While chilling at the spa, he had a very awkward fan encounter. "I'm in a spa just by myself relaxing. ... This guy's walks by, and he was like, 'Hey,' " Lutz recalled. "I'm naked, very much. Bubbles blowing. And the guy is like, 'You're Kellan Lutz.' I'm like, 'Yeah.' He's like, 'Big fan, big fan. You do great work in "Twilight." Can't wait to see the new movie.' I'm like, 'Thanks, buddy.' [Trying to cover himself up.] He just continued to talk for 10 minutes. They aren't that deep of spas."
If that weren't strange enough, the
Lutz also discussed his love for animals, especially his dog, Kola, whom he adopted from a shelter in Los Angeles when he was feeling a little bit depressed. "I get so much fan mail for my dog. I mean, I moved to L.A., met a lot of weird people, broke up with a girlfriend, so I'm pretty low in my life, so I wanted a friend," he said. "So I went to an animal shelter. She leaned on the fence. She really just sold herself. She came, buried her head in between my legs, and I was like, 'Oh, yes!' — no, I didn't mean like that!"
