In case you needed confirmation of which famous men are universally admired in 2009, People has graciously answered your calls. And this year, the mag has named Johnny Depp the Sexiest Man Alive.
The 46-year-old actor also earned the honor in 2003, and he joins the illustrious ranks of Brad Pitt and George Clooney as two-time title holders. The father of two admits that even though he's a box-office draw in hits like "Pirates of the Caribbean," he really just loves being a dad. "I could sit there all day and do nothing but watch them grow," he's said about his kids Lily-Rose, 10, and Jack, 7. "I'm totally inspired by them."
"Twilight" hunk Robert Pattinson (obviously) made the list too. The "New Moon" star may be constantly lusted after by throngs of screaming fans, but he claims, "I still can't get a date."
R&B crooner John Legend, who's as easy on the eyes as he is on the ears, is also honored by the magazine, and he's joined by two "American Idol" alums, Chris Daughtry and Adam Lambert. "I love people with good energy," Lambert said. "It's even better when you can hook up with one of them."
In the issue, on newsstands Friday, movie stars like Jake Gyllenhaal, John Cho, Robert Downey Jr., Bradley Cooper and Ryan Reynolds are included in the list. And representing the small screen are "Glee" guys Cory Monteith, Matthew Morrison and Mark Salling, as well "America's Got Talent" host and jack-of-all-trades Nick Cannon.
