Earlier this week, "Twilight" star Taylor Lautner, who packed on some Popeye-style muscles to hang onto the role of Jacob Black in
"It's embarrassing for me," Lautner told BoxOffice.com. "And I'm sure it's awkward for [my family]. I'm hoping that [I don't get teased by my family] because I'll start blushing."
It seems like the teasing might start soon. Pictures of Lautner's flesh-baring Rolling Stone photo shoot have surfaced on the Web in advance of their publication in the magazine. Snapped by renowned photographer Mark Seliger (who shot Megan Fox's October RS cover), the photos show Lautner shirtless on a beach, a white T-shirt tucked into his back pocket, a leather football in his hands. Other photos show him straddling a motorcycle parked on the sand and running through waves with the pigskin tucked under his arm.
There are also several photos of the actor flipping through the air, a pose he's shown off on the "Eclipse" set in Vancouver. In August, "Eclipse" director David Slade posted a pic to his Twitter account of Lautner — shirtless again — executing a flip in the middle of a forest.
The motorcycle also fits into the context of the "Twilight" universe: In "New Moon," Lautner's Jacob teaches Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) how to ride one.
With "New Moon" hitting theaters on November 20, the opportunity — or the requirement — to doff his shirt and bare his abs in the name of movie promotion won't be going away. According to Lautner, though, Robert Pattinson deserves a couple of revealing photo shoots as well.
"Rob, he's getting some muscle," Lautner told MTV News in September, adding that his co-star is in no need of workout advice. "No, he definitely doesn't need any pointers at all. He's got it covered."
