Lauren Conrad might have bid a fond farewell to the drama that was "The Hills," but the show's newest queen bee, Kristin Cavallari, isn't afraid to bring it. And her friends are well aware that with a new sheriff in town, all the rules have been thrown out the window. She's not exactly one to play nice with others.

"It's been fun," Brody Jenner told MTV News about his ex-girlfriend. "Me and Kristin have always gotten along. We used to date way in the past, but we've always kept a good friendship and it's fun. Obviously, I love Lauren. But Kristin adds something different and new. She doesn't take anything from anybody, and so it puts a different spin on 'The Hills.' It's a good little twist every week."

Those twists seem to be resonating with many other "Hills" vets. Although this is already Whitney Port's second season away from the show, she's feeling Cavallari's effect all the way in "The City."

"I think it's great that she's on it. I think everyone's going to miss Lauren a lot, because she's such a staple and the main girl and just who everybody saw themselves as or through," Port said. "I think Kristin will probably bring a level of drama that will be enticing and intriguing and fun for people to watch. It will just be different."

Lauren Conrad, however, kept her reaction to Cavallari's reality-TV return short and sweet. "I think people are liking it," she said with a smile. "They got some drama."

Meanwhile, the woman behind all the controversy, Cavallari, herself, loves being back in the spotlight. "It's fun. It's really fun," she said. "I'm having a great time, and I'm really glad I made the decision to come back."

See all Kristin's drama on "The Hills" every Tuesday at 10 p.m. on MTV.
