We weren't kidding when we said
Mike Judge's workplace comedy hit theaters in February 1999, when Fox was still in middle school. The then-12-year-old became infatuated with TPS reports, "O" faces, Michael Bolton fans and everything else that has made "Office Space" an intensely quotable classic.
"My friends and I were really obsessed with that movie and — because we were annoying and ridiculous when we were in seventh grade — we would just write quotes from the movie on notes and pass them back and forth in class and laugh hysterically every time we opened the note and passed it back," she said.
Hearing this, our own Josh Horowitz paid Fox the ultimate compliment. "You have a lot of flair!" he declared. Horowitz was referencing a series of exchanges involving Jennifer Aniston's "Office Space" character, who is less than enthused about the buttons, pins and bon mot-blaring badges she's required to wear for her waitressing job in a theme restaurant.
Fox didn't exactly pick up on the connection. "I have a lot of flair?" she responded.
Horowitz quickly cried foul. "You are a poseur!" he said.
"No, I'm not a poseur!" she replied "I took you seriously."
