"Hills" stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, who left "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!" last week, have gotten into a war of words with an unlikely opponent: Al Roker, with whom the two conducted a surprisingly heated interview on Monday morning's (June 15) "Today" show.

During the interview, Roker grilled Montag about whether she was "proud" of the couple's controversial behavior on the show, and also told Pratt that some people think he is a "jerk."

After the interview, Roker took to Twitter to air his opinions.

"Heidi and Spencer are an interesting couple," he Tweeted. "Famous for ... being infamous. Bad and vacuous behavior. I think we're at minute 11 of their 15."

Pratt and Montag responded on Ryan Seacrest's radio show on KIIS-FM.

"Was the weatherman asking us questions?," he said. "I thought we were getting interviewed by a guy named Matt Lauer. We were thrown off that the weatherman was even trying to talk to Speidi."

For her part, Montag said, "I was shocked at how rude he was. I was crying afterwards because I felt personally attacked because he was yelling and saying, 'Do you feel proud of this?'

"I felt like saying, 'Do you feel proud of what you're saying [to us]?,' " she continued. "I'm a young woman and you're coming at me so mean-spirited."

"We were going there for a great interview. I just wanted to talk about the show and my experience there and how fun it was," she said. "He just made it uncomfortable and an awful experience. To be honest, I wouldn't be interviewed by him again. And I'd advise women to be careful around him because I feel like he definitely attacked me and I didn't deserve that at all."

Pratt later reportedly told TMZ, "I never in my wildest dreams thought a weatherman would treat us like we just rigged the Iranian election."
