A visibly uncomfortable but gracious Robert Pattinson auctioned off kisses for the annual amfAR Cinema Against AIDS 2009 Cocktail Party in Cannes, France. In introducing the actor, movie mogul Harvey Weinstein said that some lucky lady would not only get to meet the "Twilight" star, she'd also get a kiss from him, "Entertainment Tonight" reports.

"When I first saw 'Twilight' with my daughters," Weinstein said, "I went home the next night and I saw [written] on their doors, 'Emma Pattinson, age 11,' 'Ruby Pattinson, age 6' and 'Lily Pattinson, age 14.' All three of my daughters want to marry the guy on my right. I want him to star in a movie for me."

He went on to say that Pattinson, who recently lined up a slew of new movie projects, "has agreed to do something extraordinary. ... I think there is no dad who wouldn't mind Robert Pattinson meeting his daughter, taking a picture with his daughter and just giving her a gentle kiss on the cheek. Somebody in London, New York or L.A. — there's got to be a dad good enough to bid on that."

Before the night's host, Sharon Stone, could start the bidding, Pattinson joked, "Starting at five dollars." Once Stone started the bidding at $10,000, the young actor added, "And if it goes well, maybe it'll turn into something more." When all was said and done, two bidders agreed to each pay $20,000 for the meet and greets with Pattinson.

Other stars at the event included Josh Hartnett, Danny Glover and Joshua Jackson and girlfriend Diane Kruger ("Inglourious Basterds"), who auctioned off a Chanel Segway.
