We here at MTV News got some of your favorite celebrities to place bets, or at the very least tell us whether they think Adam Lambert or Kris Allen will win "American Idol" tonight.
Most of the celebrities we talked to eagerly shared their excitement for Lambert and think that he is the clear front-runner to take home the prize.
"I think he's brilliant. I saw him do a kind of stage thing a few years ago in L.A., a cabaret thing. I went up to him afterwards [and told him], 'You are brilliant,' " MTV Movie Awards nominee
Someone else who is rooting for Lambert is "Hills" star Spencer Pratt, who had very interesting reasoning for choosing him: "Adam Lambert is going to win because he has the same singing voice as Spencer Pratt, a.k.a. 'the Great White.' "
Meanwhile, "Dance Flick's" writer/director Damien Dante Wayans (nephew of the famous Wayans brothers) also jumped on the Lambert bandwagon. "I love some 'American Idol.' I'm going for Adam. You know how he hits those [high notes]," he said. "I'm going for him!"
Lambert's BFF, Audrina Patridge, has been campaigning for her friend for a while now. "I love Adam," she said. "I think he's so talented, and he always puts on a good show. He's very talented, and I think he's the next big thing."
The original American Idol, Kelly Clarkson, couldn't really pick between Lambert and Allen, but appreciates Lambert's flamboyant style. "I just like the fact that he did the whole Elvis thing and he sang the whole time in falsetto," she said. "I thought that was crazy."
On Wednesday's "Today" show, Meredith Vieira shared with co-host Matt Lauer that she's on Team Lambert. But though Allen doesn't seem to be getting the same celebrity backing as Lambert, there are some who think that neither is the clear winner yet.
"If you want some person to win, you've got to vote," Danny Gokey said. "I'm telling you. This competition is not over yet. I have a feeling it's going to be a very tight race," adding that he admires Allen's "very mellow" demeanor. "That's always one character trait I've always wanted."
Meanwhile, season-one runner-up Justin Guarini warned that nothing should be taken for granted: "Now, really, it's time for everyone to step up."
