Although the Jonas Brothers announced in advance that they would be showing up at random movie theaters on their Surprise Theater Invasion tour, fans were still shocked when the guys actually showed up at their hometown theaters.

In New York, at the Palisades Mall, fans couldn't hold back their tears as Nick, Joe and Kevin thanked them all for buying tickets to their 3-D flick, "Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience."

"I'm really excited," fan Melanie told MTV News. "We came here for the movie, but we're really excited to know that the Jonas Brothers are actually going to be here! I love them all! I don't have a favorite!" Her friend Ariel added: "I'm gonna die! I like them all, but I love Nick."

After surprising fans in New York, and with MTV News along for the ride, equally shocked fans in Charlotte, North Carolina, were treated to a personal appearance by the JoBros.

"I feel happy! They just walked in and walked out!" one teen said. "I was shaking, and it was scary, it was funny, it was exciting. Nick Jonas is my favorite! He looks great!"

Another fan, Courtney, who attended the screening with her friends and her dad, described seeing the guys as "incredible, awesome, exciting. We were so surprised. We are so happy!"

Her dad seemed equally as pleased that his teen daughter got the opportunity to meet her idols in person. "I'm still crazy about the Rolling Stones. I thought I was a huge fan, but I pale in comparison to what they feel about them," he said. "What a cool bunch of guys — well-spoken, clean-cut. I couldn't be prouder of them for pulling for somebody as clean and nice as those boys are."

Lindsay drove 12 hours just for the chance to see the guys live and, in the process, made friends with Courtney and her crew. "I just met these girls in line, so we're united, 'cause we're Jonas fans! I came 12 hours so I can be here today. So I'm so excited," she said. "It was awesome seeing them. Joe is my favorite, 'cause we're the same age!"

But for two girls, Isabella and Jackie, the surprise came as the best birthday present ever. "I'm really happy that it's my birthday today," 10-year-old Isabella said. "It was amazing. They look really cute."

"It was amazing. I liked it," fellow birthday girl, Jackie, 8, said. "It's my birthday, and we're just watching the movie, and I never thought the actual Jonas Brothers would come."
