Following his arrest over the weekend for an alleged domestic-violence incident involving girlfriend Rihanna, the R&B singer has already seen radio stations pull his music from their playlists and some key sponsorship contracts dry up.
Could Hollywood be far behind?
When he was arrested, the 19-year-old star was in the process of building an impressive career as an actor. His acting debut in
Chris Brown's perfect batting average will be put to the test by
Discussing his bank-robbing character, Brown explained: "He likes to do things with a little more style than everybody else. A lot of the other guys in my crew are more conservative. I'm just like, 'Well, we getting money, we doing this, we should just have cars!' I'm the flashy guy that gets the guys in a lot of trouble at the end of the day."
A representative for Screen Gems told MTV News that Brown's recent troubles have not pushed back the release of the heist flick. The film's name has now been changed to "Takers" and is still planning an early 2010 release.
After that film, Brown seemed most likely to shoot "Phenom," a long-in-development basketball flick that MTV first broke the news on nearly two years ago. A studio insider told us that the film from director David Anspaugh ("WiseGirls") remains "in development" -- a sort of Hollywood purgatory that likely won't be affected by Brown's troubles anytime soon.

"I'm hopefully getting to work with Jerry Bruckheimer. I'm doing something real big, hopefully. Hopefully, we'll do something. We're talking to his people, we've met a couple times, and he's excited. Hopefully it will be something real good."
When reached for comment Tuesday, a spokesman for the producer said: "Chris Brown is not currently involved in any projects with Jerry Bruckheimer films or television."
