It's turning out to be that kind of year for the Jonas Brothers. In addition to headlining Disney's Kids' Inaugural concert next Monday in Washington, D.C., the brotherly trio have been added as performers at this year's Grammy Awards on February 8.

On Wednesday (January 14), it was also announced that Coldplay would take the stage before competing for Album of the Year with Lil Wayne, whose Grammy appearance was confirmed on Tuesday. The three acts join Katy Perry, who will perform in this year's "My Grammy Moment" segment.

All the artists who are nominated for album of the year typically perform on the show, but it has not yet been announced if the other nominees — Radiohead, Ne-Yo, and Alison Krauss and Robert Plant — will be joining the telecast.

The Los Angeles Times speculated that the Jonas Brothers should be considered the front-runners in the Best New Artist category, where they are up against Adele, Duffy, Lady Antebellum and Jazmine Sullivan. Among the factors reportedly in their favor: "donating a chunk of cash to the Grammy Museum," playing on a number of awards shows this year, including the American Music Awards and the VMAs, as well as staying in the headlines as Grammy votes come to a close this week by playing at the inauguration gig.

The other performer announced on Tuesday was country star Kenny Chesney. Lil Wayne is the leading Grammy nominee this year with eight nominations, followed by Coldplay's seven.
