Yes, Mario is an entertainer, but he says the biggest song of his career, "Let Me Love You," is straight talk. He wouldn't mind having someone all for himself.
"I'm single right now," he said. "I have no relationship going for me right now, but I'm always looking for a young sweet thing to take care of me. I'm still looking for somebody to let me love them, somebody that's real to themselves. You can't be real to me unless you're real to yourself. I like girls that can hold a conversation and stimulate my mind, somebody that's gonna give me a challenge, girls who know how to speak their mind and ain't afraid to tell you what they want."
With his triumphant return to the music scene after a two-year break, it doesn't seem like just a few months ago we were asking, "Whatever happened to Mario?" But we were. So what was he doing in the break besides getting older and cutting his hair (see "Mario Sings About His Nikes And His Honeys On Turning Point")? Playing ball with his friends, spending time with his family, traveling, graduating high school, and doing that electric slide into acting. He filmed a small role in a flick called "Destination Fame," which he says is coming out this summer.
"The movie's about some young kids trying to get in the game, some of the trials and tribulations they go through to get in the door," he explained. "I'm playing a guy [called Wizzy]. Joe Jackson — Mike's father — is in it. A.J. [Gil] from 'American Idol,' Cassidy, Lyric — they're all in it. I didn't a get a real big role 'cause I was on tour at the time, but it was something for me to get my feet wet and learn the other side."

Mario's next turn at acting will be in an upcoming episode of the comedy series "All of Us." He'll be playing himself. His next single will be "How Could You?" There is no date set yet, but he'll be shooting the video in either Los Angeles or New York.
There's also a Mario road show in the works. He wants to go on tour and said he's been talking to his homie Bow Wow about possibly rekindling their Scream Tour flames and hitting the stage together.
