Word came down on Tuesday that Nelly would drop two albums on the same day in August, Nas' upcoming summer release, The Street's Disciple, is a double disc, and now, yet another name can be added to the list of those giving up twice the music at once: R. Kelly.
Kells has pushed back the street date of his Happy People to July 13 and will now release it as part of a double album titled Happy People/ U Saved Me.
Like Outkast's 2003 double LP, Speakerboxxx/ The Love Below, Kelly's collection of songs will be sold together but will essentially be two separate albums with two different vibes. According to his rep, the Happy People disc will be filled with love songs and club bangers, while U Saved Me will be composed of inspirational tunes. Each CD will contain 10 songs.
No collaborators for either project have been announced.
