Though it will be three weeks before a new "Idol" is crowned, this year's "American Idol" finalists already have a busy summer on the road ahead of them.
Two months of dates have been lined up for this year's wannabes, starting with a July 8 show in St. Paul, Minnesota, and running through an August 31 date in Anaheim, California, according to a spokesperson for the show.
Venues for the 39-date tour have not yet been announced, but tickets for the shows will go on sale starting May 16. The spokesperson said it has not yet been determined which "Idol" finalists will be part of the tour and that the lineup will not likely be announced until after the winner is crowned on May 21.
The second set of contestants will hit the road months after they've already made their recorded debut. American Idol Season 2 - All Time Classic American Love Songs hit stores on Tuesday, featuring the top 10 singing three songs together, including Lee Greenwood's patriotic "God Bless the USA," Burt Bacharach's "What the World Needs Now" and Stevie Wonder's "Overjoyed."
