He got a mil off his deal and he's still on the grind. Believe it or not, 50 Cent is headed back into the studio to work on a new release.
No, he doesn't have another album about to drop anytime soon; with his Get Rich or Die Tryin' flirting with a return to the #1 spot on the Billboard albums chart, he'll try to milk that for a while.
According to his spokesperson, 50 is cooking up tracks for a DVD he's going to drop on March 25. The home video, titled "The New Breed," will feature a tune that hasn't been recorded yet as well as remixes of "If I Can't" and "8 Mile Road." Concert clips, behind-the-scenes footage and an interview with incarcerated G-Unit member Tony Yayo (remember Eminem's "Free Yayo" T-shirt at the Grammys?) will also be included.
A headlining tour will get underway in a few weeks, starting March 12 in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, and ending April 27 in Binghamton, New York. No opening acts have been announced.
Meanwhile, G-Unit member Lloyd Banks, who acts as 50's hype man onstage, is working on his own debut, due in August.
