The Vines and the Music had such a good time partying together at Australia's Big Day Out festival that they're gonna keep the rager going with a monthlong North American tour together.

The bands had no trouble hooking up the road trip since they're both signed to the same label, Capitol. It starts March 18 in Vancouver, British Columbia, and runs through April 19 in Atlanta.

The Vines, who blend Nirvana-style power with classic-rock finesse, are still touring behind their debut album, July's Highly Evolved, which spawned the singles "Get Free" and "Outtathaway!" The band's next single will likely be the more country-inflected "Homesick" (see "Vines Going Country With Pastoral Video Plans"). The Vines recently finished an Australian tour and are writing material for their next record.

The Music's first single, "Take the Long Road and Walk It," is starting to heat up at alternative radio, and their self-titled LP is due February 25. The booty-shaking rockers start a tour with Coldplay in Ottawa, Ontario, on February 24 and will play 13 dates with them before hooking up with the Vines (see "The Music — Yeah, That's The Band's Name — Take The Long Road").
