Not that they are ever at a loss for words, but your favorite mixtape DJs are running off at the mouth as much as they can these days. This is their time of year. No, it isn't turkey day that's got them talking, but the Seventh Annual Mixtape Awards. Just weeks away, the honors have given everyone a reason to promote their street offerings. At stake — a year's worth of bragging rights.

DJs Clue and Envy, along with last year's big winner, Kay Slay, once again made the top of the list, with nominations in categories including Best Mixtape DJ and Best Mixtape Personality.

The awards take place on December 3 at the Manhattan Center in New York with host DJ Red Alert. Surprise presenters and performers and promised. The secret is out on a performance by artists we don't normally see standing at the front of the stage. DJ Kay Slay, Doo Wop, Tony Touch, Brucie Bee, Kid Capri and Ron G will rap their posse cut, "Champions." Funkmaster Flex and DJ Clue also recorded the song with their peers, but there is no word on if they will join in on the festivities.
