Eminem's taken on Christina, Moby and Chris Kirkpatrick, but can he handle Ja Rule? Or how about Harry Potter — will the foulmouthed Slim Shady get his butt kicked by pint-sized English kid?

Those are the questions moviegoers will answer this weekend when "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" and Ja Rule's "Half Past Dead" go head-to-head with "8 Mile." (Click to see photos from the "8 Mile" premiere.)

"Chamber of Secrets" is the second movie drawn from the popular "Harry Potter" series of children's novels about a young wizard and his adventures at the magical Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry (click to see photos). Young actors Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson (see "Can 'Harry Potter' Stars Avoid Child Actor Doom?") all return from last year's "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone."

"Half Past Dead" is another second of sorts — the second Steven Seagal flick to pair the aging martial arts star with a big-name rapper. Last year's "Exit Wounds" had Seagal battling bad guys and trading punch lines with DMX. "Half Past Dead" teams Seagal with Ja Rule as an undercover FBI agent and an inmate, respectively, who must thwart a criminal mastermind (Morris Chestnut) who plans on taking over a prison.

Both films will have to compete with "8 Mile," which ruled the box office last weekend with a $54.4 million opening (see " '8 Mile' Goes The Distance With Record-Breaking Opening Weekend").
